As an Optical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice. You’ll work closely with the Directors and the optical team to ensure the highest standard of patient care and service is delivered, while also managing the business side of the practice.

  • Lead and manage the optical team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

  • Oversee patient consultations, ensuring they receive the highest quality care and advice.

  • Manage staff performance, providing guidance and training where necessary to ensure professional development and team cohesion.

  • Handle operational duties such as inventory management, supplier relations, and ensuring stock levels are maintained.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Monitor financial performance, ensuring targets are met and identifying areas for business growth.

  • Implement and maintain company policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations and compliance with industry regulations.

  • Previous experience in an optical role (Practice Manager, Optical Supervisor, Senior Optical Assistant).

  • A strong commercial focus, with the ability to drive business success and team performance.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a ‘can-do’ attitude.

  • A passion for optics and patient care, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
