As the Practice Manager, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our busy, patient-focused practice. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the practice, ensuring excellent patient care, and leading by example while developing and training your team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Optical Assistant or Assistant Manager looking to take the next step in their career.

  • Lead by example, setting high standards of patient care, professionalism, and teamwork. You will be responsible for developing, training, and mentoring your team to reach their full potential, ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery.

  •  Oversee the day-to-day running of the practice, ensuring that things run smoothly, from patient bookings to stock management and inventory control. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the practice’s high operational standards.

  • Training, and developing staff members, ensuring the team is motivated, well-trained, and consistently performing to their best. You’ll also manage team performance, setting clear goals, and regular feedback and appraisals.

  •  Ensure that every patient receives the best possible experience, from their first contact with the practice to their final visit. You'll be responsible for resolving patient concerns, handling complaints, and ensuring excellent customer service.

  • Ensure the practice adheres to all relevant health, safety, and compliance regulations, and that staff and patients are kept safe.

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in optics who is now looking to take on more responsibility and make an impact at a managerial level. The ideal candidate will be:

  •  You’ll have experience as a Senior Optical Assistant, Optical Assistant, or Assistant Manager, with a strong understanding of how an optical practice operates.

  • You have demonstrated leadership skills in previous roles, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead a team. You enjoy helping others develop and succeed.

  •  You are personable and can communicate effectively with both staff and patients. You’ll be able to listen and provide clear instructions while maintaining strong, positive relationships.

  • You’ll be someone who can work under pressure, keep calm, and maintain a high level of organisation. You’ll be expected to oversee tasks and ensure deadlines are met.

  • You understand that great patient care and are committed to delivering an outstanding service to every patient.
