Part-time Optometrist - Chiswick

As an Optometrist in our client’s Chiswick store, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience. The eye test room is at the heart of what they do, and you’ll be responsible for ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of care. You’ll work closely with the Store Manager and retail team, providing optical expertise and guidance to help deliver an exceptional shopping experience for all customers.

Chiswick is a vibrant and charming district in West London, known for its beautiful green spaces, trendy cafes, and welcoming atmosphere, offering a perfect blend of urban living and suburban tranquillity.

Chiswick boasts excellent transport links, with easy access to the A4 and M4, providing direct routes into Central London and Heathrow Airport. The area is well-served by Chiswick Station, offering frequent services to London Waterloo, while nearby Gunnersbury Station connects to the District Line and Overground. There are also numerous bus routes and cycle paths, making Chiswick easily accessible from all directions.

  • Deliver an outstanding optometrist experience, to create a relaxed, professional, and engaging atmosphere.

  • Conduct thorough eye examinations, understanding patient needs and delivering accurate results to achieve the best possible outcomes.

  • Accurately determine spectacle prescriptions and recommend suitable lens treatments based on individual patient needs, lifestyle, and environments.

  • Educate patients about their eye health, prescription, and provide advice on proper care, including tips for varifocal users.

  • Work closely with the retail team, providing optical expertise and knowledge to ensure customers have a seamless and informative experience from start to finish.

  • You’ll need to be registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).

  • Excellent communication skills with a patient-centred approach.

  • A passion for delivering high-quality eye care and an engaging customer experience.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a retail team, sharing optical knowledge and guidance.

  • Newly qualified or experienced optometrists are welcome to apply.
