This role offers flexibility in working hours, full or part time.

The town is also conveniently located near major road networks, including the A36 and A350, ensuring easy access to nearby towns and the wider region. Public transport options and scenic walking and cycling routes further enhance its accessibility.

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and overall eye health.

  • Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, providing tailored recommendations for treatment or corrective lenses.

  • Offer expert advice and educate patients on vision care and preventative measures.

  • Work collaboratively with dispensing opticians and other team members to ensure the best patient outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

  • Stay informed on the latest developments in optometry and participate in continuous professional development.

  • You’ll need to be registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • A patient-focused approach, ensuring a high standard of care.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
