Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Optometrist to join their growing team. As an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will collaborate with other experienced eye care professionals to provide exceptional care to all patients. The role involves delivering a wide range of eye care services, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.

  • Perform thorough eye exams to assess vision and detect eye conditions or diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.

  • Diagnose refractive errors (e.g., myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism), eye infections, dry eyes, and other vision-related issues, and recommend appropriate treatments.

  • Provide prescriptions for eyeglasses, contact lenses, or other visual aids based on patients' eye exams.

  • Educate patients on proper eye care, vision health, and the use of prescribed eyewear or treatment plans.

  • Assist in clinical procedures, offering support to other healthcare professionals as required during patient treatments.

  • Keep detailed, accurate, and up-to-date patient records, including examination results, treatment plans, and prescriptions.

  • Manage Eye Health Conditions: Identify and manage early signs of ocular diseases, refer patients for specialised care when necessary, and ensure follow-up treatments.

  • Stay Updated on Industry Practices: Continuously update knowledge and skills by attending professional development courses and keeping up with the latest research in optometry and eye care technology.

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centred care to ensure comfort and confidence during visits.

  • Work with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care for patients with complex or multi-faceted eye conditions.

  • Ideally, you’ll have a Minimum of 2 years experience as a GOC registered Optometrist.

  • Strong clinical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
