We have an exciting role available for an Assistant Manager in Harrogate, you will support the Practice Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the store. This can include managing the team, ensuring excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, and maintaining high standards of practice.

Harrogate is a picturesque spa town located in North Yorkshire, England. Known for its beautiful gardens, historic architecture, and vibrant cultural scene, it offers a unique blend of urban amenities and natural beauty.

  •  Trains run to Leeds (around 35 minutes), York (approximately 40 minutes), and London (via connections in Leeds, taking about 2-2.5 hour

  • Harrogate has a reliable local bus network connecting to town in the surrounding areas.

  • The Harrogate to Leeds bus route provides an alternative for commuters and is frequently serviced

  • Harrogate is well-connected by road, with easy access to the A61 and A658 linking to major motorways like the A1. This makes it convenient for those travelling by car to nearby cities or regions.

  • Show strong leadership and management skills to be able to support your colleagues in-store

  •  Great communication and rapport building to translate professional terminology into language understanding to patients

  • Exceptional attention to detail in maintaining accurate customer records, prescriptions, and requirements to provide them with the best service and product recommendations

  • Teamwork with colleagues across the whole store team, including our Eye Care Professionals, Optical Assistants and Management 

  • The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations in a fast-paced retail environment

  • Confidence, passion, drive and enthusiasm

  •  Monitor and analyse sales performance data to identify areas for improvement

  • Training and coaching sessions with your colleagues in-store.

  • GOC register

  • Proof of work in the UK
